Airquotes Designs the Best Card in Defenders of Equestria

On August 3, 2015, something terrible happened: Enterplay asked me to design a card for an upcoming set in the company’s fledgling My Little Pony Collectible Card Game.

The road was long and arduous, with numerous design ideas (rightfully) rejected, but after wearing them down with one poor life decision after another, I finally slipped a card through. Worry not. I’m here for you.

Let’s do this thing.

Net-decking: Why it Happens, Why you Shouldn’t Care

The practice of net-decking is a subject of mild controversy, but it really doesn’t need to be. Part of the beauty of CCGs is that you can bring any pile of cards (within deckbuilding guidelines) to a game and call it a deck. And sometimes, that pile looks an awful lot like someone else’s.
