Hello friends! While living in the future as a community playtester stops me from writing as often as I’d like, I’m back on the .horse (heh) to talk about decks! We’ll start with the list of decks from our recent Winter Regional in case you missed them, then I’ll talk about (what else) a new version of Dream Quest I brewed up and the team refined for the occasion.
I did it. I went to BronyCon. It was last minute and ill-advised, but I went. Thankfully, I did not go on this magical friendship adventure alone. No, I took the fabled Niko with me. Sadly, Chash had to stay at home on the couch (more on that later). So Thursday I packed up my car, drove down to Pandemonium and picked up Niko for what would become a legendary friendship adventure. Continue reading Brony-Con or A Magical Friendship Adventure
Hey all! While the people who could actually attend GenCon have been posting tournament reports, I’m going to talk about how we ended up playing what we did. While I wasn’t able to play myself, I was involved heavily in the testing. Magic of friendship, etc.
So, how did it end up like this? Continue reading Good Ol’ Rock: Continentals Deck Testing
Three of us from Team Pandeponium made it to Gencon this year, so you’ll get three tournament reports, each incompetent and frustratingly unhelpful in its own way. Mine will focus on how I am terrible at life and former Continental Champ and all-around good dude Nation Morath had to talk me down from lying down in the street and dying via Facebook. Also I’ll throw some stuff in about my match ups, probably? You know, whatever we feel like doing. It’s a process.
Hey everybody. Been a while since I posted anything, for which I feel pretty guilty. Basically, starting with Absolute Discord we’ve been serving as community playtesters for upcoming sets, which is cool but means that it’s kind of hard to get my mind around stuff that isn’t from the future. I hope I’ll have some deck thoughts for you soon.
But! We had our Regional tournament today. I didn’t play since we needed a dedicated judge, so I don’t have personal insights, but you can find the decks below.
I’m still pretty tired after PAX East. I’ll be hopefully writing a longer post about my own experiences there, but I want to get tournament overview and lists out for people now, in case they want them for events happening soon.
Find them below the cut. Continue reading PAX East Harmony Event Top 4 Decklists
So today, on the last day of the worst month ever (at least if you were in New England), Pandemonium ran its Chaos is Magic event, where everyone got to play two manes. Now, sure, one option for this is to take your baller tournament deck and insert a DJ or a Maud or what have you for value, but where’s the joy in that? For this event, the members of Team Pandeponium went a different direction.
A flavor direction.
A fanfic direction.
And it was beautiful.
